Hello all, New guy here. I'm looking for help with a project that has come to a grinding hault. I have a banged up 1973 750 that I wanted to use to build a bobber. Well I dont want to use the OIF frame. Can I put the motor in an older frame with ease?? Please help.. New custom frame isnt an option at this time ($). But I do have access to alot of 60's triumph stock parts frames. Will one from late 60.s early 70's work?

HELP me please I know nothing of the triumph world.

thanks
Micheal :)

Your 750 will fit straight in to a 1963-1970 T120/TR6 frame but you will need to use the engine plates to match the frame, the OIF engine plates will not work. Not too sure about the head steady as my bike has one that was made for it.
If you use the search engine this subject has been covered before and in more detail. Probably best to post an intro on the main board as well.

I put a 1972 Bonneville into a 1968 frame with no problem. I had to make my head steadies and use 60's style tranny plates but the rest bolted right up with no problem. Good luck with your project.

IMO I like the "classic frame over the OIF..........my 2 cents...
