What was old- is new again... paint like that takes talent and is challenging... it's a nod to those that influenced us... some how Chameleon flip flop paint wouldn't quite cut it on an old pan bobber... cause these paint jobs are timeless and just very cool!!

I totally agree with that....I just layed my first paint job like this and let me tell you time consuming as hell. It is very tedious also. I put it on mine cause my looks like something straight out of the 70's witha coffin tank, whatelse woulda looked right on it?

HOK apple red with a little dry pearl added to it. I hate spraying stock colors.

I taught it was apple red, very cool. Yeah i hate using stock colors too but sometimes it makes your life easier if you have to re-touch stuff up later. The smart thing to do would probably be to write down the formula you used for that particular paint job.

I assume the darker blue color is on the flake itself? What was the base? Black? Who makes that flake, and what do they call that color? I really like it.

The helmet looks killer !! Got a question for ya... did you take a razor and fray the ends of the leaf before you applied it ? Maybe it was the look you were going for but you can tell where one sheet ended and the other one started. By taking a razor blade and fraying the ends of the sheet of leaf before applying it it will look seamless when the sheets overlap each other. Know what i mean ? Again it might of been the look your going for and if it was than just tell me to fuck off !!:D
