Union Motorcycle Classics

I was farting around on the internet this morning and stumbled across Union Motorcycle Classics – a bike shop located in the small town of Nampa, Idaho. I can’t speak to what exactly lead me to post this, but something about their website DID speak to me. It’s modern and classic at the same time and with that twist, they seemed to loose all of the preconceived notions that I have in regard to a “biker shop.” It’s just a couple of fellas in an old red barn building what they like… no influence… no bullshit…

82 Year Old Wins At Isle Of Man

The Vintagent comes through again… He recently ran an article on an 82 year old grandfather that took home the opening race of the Isle of Man TT fortnight. He’s an elder, so we will show the due respect and call him Mr. Fenwick. He’s been racing bikes longer than most of us have been a live and incredibly, he’s still VERY competitive.

Check out the article here.

Dylan On A Triumph

Many of you guys have probably already seen this. I had not… and figured I should post it. The Vintagent is one of my favorite blogs and a little over a year ago, Paul d’Orleans (the main Vintagent) used the site to publish a great little story on Bob Dylan and his motorcycle fascination. The photos rule.

You can check it out here.

I’m Still Back…

So, a lot of folks have asked why I’m posting again under such short notice… And it all goes back to an experience I had a couple of weeks ago. I was at a buddy’s house who happens to collect vintage motorcycles and I mentioned to him that I… well… hated motorcycles. I believe I even used those words. He smiled, pointed to a Norton Manx sitting in the corner of his shop and said, “Ride that. You won’t hate ‘em anymore.”
